Cookbook Giveaway!

I'm so excited about my Amazon gift card that I received from the Fairy Hobmother, and I want to share it with you guys too! So I'm hosting a giveaway where you can enter to win any cookbook you want (that's available to ship from Amazon.ca and is less than $40).

To enter, leave a comment (with your email, if you don't have a blog), tell me which cookbook you want, and tell me something random about yourself. This contest is only open to people living in Canada (sorry!) I will leave the contest open until 11:59pm PST on December 18.

***Contest closed. Genevieve won Appetite for Reduction!

You are so awesome, Ashley! Way to go for spreading the love. :)

I have been meaning to check out Enlightened Eating, which is probably what I'd get. :)

Or maybe a raw cookbook since I now have a dehydrator! Wahoo! :)

Hi! If I had to pick a cookbook it would be The Barefoot Contessa At Home. :-)

How exciting! I'm a reader in Toronto, and I'm really excited for the Momofuku Milk Bar cookbook. I had my 30th birthday cake from them (pistachio!) and it was one of the best cakes I've ever tasted.

Oooh! If I win I'd love "The Grit Cookbook: World-Wise, Down-Home Recipes [Paperback]" please :)

Random: I've visited your neck of the woods once, and it was lovely! Ate at Gorilla Food, climbed Grouse Mountain, and marveled at the friendly bus drivers who thanked me when I paid my fare. Here in Toronto, interactions with transit employees are...chilly at best unfortunately.

I've been mulling over this one: How to Cook Everything Vegetarian: Simple Meatless Recipes for Great Food for awhile. Sadly, I haven't had a chance to get a copy yet!

Congratulations on your AGC!

The cookbook I'd love to have is Pie: 300 Tried-and-True Recipes for Delicious Homemade Pie by Ken Haedrich. I LOVE to bake and the prettier the result the better- the ulimate compliment for me i someone telling me my cookies, cakes, etc are "too pretty to eat!"

Random fact about me: I met my husband at a science fiction convention. (And for the record, neither of us was "in uniform." LOL!)

So generous!

I've had my eye on 'Peas and Thank You' as I love her blog and have read great things about the recipes -- even for non-vegans.

Random fact: I rescue pit bulls.

Thank you for sharing your gift card! I love your blog. The one cook book I've been longing for is called:
Everyday Harumi

Something random about me: I don't share my food. I'm quite a "Joey" in that aspect. If you've seen friends, you know what I mean :).

Thanks again! Hope I win!

I would definitely take Supernatural Everyday.

Random factoid: I used to spell "took" as "toke." The worst part is that nobody corrected me until last year during my second year of university. Not my finest hour.

The New Best Recipes by editors of Cook's Illustrated would make a wonderful holiday gift. A random fact about myself is that I try not to repeat recipes that I have made before, because there are 1000's of recipes out there to try that I have yet to.

I'd get The 30-Day Vegan Challenge. I've heard good things from twitter about it.

random: I can't sleep if the dishwasher is running... it makes sounds that make it seem like someone is fiddling with the lock on the front door.

great idea! There are so many to choose from, but I am really liking the new book from Fresh restaurant. Random fact: I am having my first ever blog giveaway right now, a strawesome glass straw!

Ricki said...

Don't enter me in the giveaway, but just wanted to say how great this is! Thanks for hosting this, Ashley. And hope you have an amazing holiday yourself! :) xo

I lost all my cookbooks in our move last year, so a new cookbook would be awesome to start my collection (again).

I would love "Everyday Happy Herbivore" by by Lindsay S. Nixon.

Cooking-related randomness: Give me any meal recipe and I can pretty much ace it. But I'll ruin even the simplest of cake recipes (especially the icing!).

Nsjacq said...

If I won I'd buy Everyday Happy Herbivore.
Random: i love cookbooks and food blogs and read them like novels. :).

This is so nice of you! I'd love the Barefoot Contessa Cookbook. It seems like there are a lot of well loved recipes in there!

As for me - I have 3 kids under the age of 7. I'm giving away baskets of homemade goodies for Christmas this year. And I once went skydiving!
