Chocolate Cookie Bark
This is a super easy and delicious treat to make, and it looks good too! I heard about it from a friend and couldn't stop thinking about what cookie bark would taste like. I finally got around to making it and it was really addictive. I rarely ever eat Oreos on their own but when they're in something else I always want to try it. (Like the Cookies & Cream Pound Cake from My Sweet Vegan.)
I felt wrong melting chocolate in the microwave and thought about doing it on the stove over steam but then thought ah well whatever and just went for the microwave. The peanut butter mixed into the white chocolate was so good I could've just eaten it with a spoon when it was melted. Actually I did, but just a bit! I might now become obsessed with the white chocolate peanut butter combination. Next time I'm going to use milk chocolate instead of semi-sweet because I'm more of a milk chocolate person, but if you like dark chocolate then use that.

8 oz semi-sweet chocolate
6 oz white chocolate
2 tbsp peanut butter
10 Oreo cookies
Place semi-sweet chocolate and white chocolate in separate microwaveable bowls. Microwave until completely melted, following directions on package. Add peanut butter to white chocolate and stir until well blended. Crumble half the cookies over chocolate in each bowl; mix well.
Drop spoonfuls of the chocolate mixtures onto wax paper-covered baking sheet, alternating the colors of the chocolates. Swirl a knife through the chocolate mixtures several times with a knife for marble effect.
Refrigerate at least 1 hour or until firm. Break into pieces.

This does look amazing! I'd think it would be fine even without the peanut butter (or with different kinds of cookies--I'm not an Oreo fan, either). One of those chocolate recipes I'll just have to make. . .
Wow! I could totally do this! Sounds great, looks great!
This bark looks AMAZING. Honestly, it's a combination of most everyone's favourites. Who could resist?
i think i may have had this before at a candy shop! it looks so good! love the swirls :)
this looks like dangerous stuff to me! You really can't put me anywhere near peanut butter and chocolate, especially when they are mixed together. It's like superman's kryptonite ;)The pictures are gorgeous... I can feel my resolve weakening... uh oh.I might need to make these now.
well that's simply beautiful. i'd probably eat bark off a tree if it looked like that. however, i have a sneaking suspicion that this would taste a bit better.
I'm all over this...Easter is coming up...that gives me an excuse to have a delicious chocolate treat :D
I just used the last of my Oreo cookies!! Now you are making me buy more haha I love the chocolate peanut butter combo, so it will be worth it.
what are you doing to me? All that chocolate!!! I now have a serious craving!
Ohhh that looks delicious. I actually can't stop staring at the pictures, haha. Shame we don't have oreos in the UK, but I'm sure I could replace them with something else...
YUM!!
Oh my gosh, that would be dangerous to have around my house. It wouldn't last long at all!
This sounds great- I often make regular old peppermint bark for holidays and such, but this could very well become a new favorite!
Yum! I'd like to eat these please. :) Also, I just took some mini lime poundcakes out of the oven & I thought of your last post & how the cookies didn't have enough lime flavor. I think I quadrupled the lime zest called for in this poundcake recipe, & I can't stop eating them! Now I'm thinking of trying those lime sugar cookies again...
That oreo chocolate bark looks so good!
This is the snack to end all snacks. WOW! Does that bark look good.
This is sinful!!
The pictures and the bark itself looks amazing... You got me drooling over my keyboard!
Let me tell you this looks so great. I always melt my chocolate, in the microwave, at medium power. I make chocolate all the time. Everyone love them in my home.
Oh how sinful looking! A hunk of this with a glass of red wine...I am in heaven!

Wow, that looks great and very pretty!
Do you cover a whole area right to the sides of the baking try or does it not matter?
holler: Thanks! No you don't have to, well I guess it depends on the size of your baking tray. I could've covered mine only 3/4 and it would've been fine.
this looks wonderful.
Jerri: Thanks. :)
i'll definitely keep this in mind for the holidays...because i think this would be a very very bad thing to have around the house!
